Our Approach to Kindergarten Readiness

A developmental framework that meets children where they are — and gets them where they need to be

Our Approach

We keep groups small — no more than four children at a time — so every child gets the individual attention they need. Our days are structured around play-based learning with clear routines that build confidence and independence.

Communication with parents is built into everything we do. You'll receive daily updates, progress photos, and regular check-ins so you always know how your child is growing. We believe the best outcomes happen when families and educators work as a team.

Our Methodology

Three pillars — STEM, bilingual language, and kindergarten readiness — designed to work together the way young children actually learn.

STEM Foundations

Math and science through hands-on play.

  • Counting, patterns, and spatial reasoning
  • Experiments — ramps, color mixing, sink-or-float

Bilingual Language

English and Spanish through daily immersion.

  • Songs, stories, and picture cards in both languages
  • Phonics and conversation in circle time

Kindergarten Readiness

The skills teachers notice day one.

  • Self-regulation, directions, and social skills
  • Fine motor — scissors, playdough, letter tracing

Our Framework

Every session weaves together the three areas kindergarten teachers look for on day one. Children count in Spanish while sorting blocks, practice self-regulation during experiments, and build fine motor skills while tracing letters.

STEM Foundations

Hands-on math and science through guided discovery.

Examples
  • Counting with objects, fingers, and bilingual number words
  • Building patterns with colored blocks and tangram puzzles
  • Sink-or-float experiments, ramp challenges, color mixing
  • Sorting by color, size, shape — and explaining why

Bilingual Language Development

English and Spanish grow side by side through daily immersion.

Examples
  • English-Spanish word pairs through picture cards and songs
  • Bilingual read-alouds with story sequencing
  • Rhyming and phonics games in both languages
  • Circle time greetings and conversation practice

Kindergarten Readiness Skills

The skills teachers notice first day of school.

Examples
  • Waiting turns, managing transitions and frustration
  • Following one-step to multi-step directions
  • Sharing, collaborative projects, group participation
  • Scissors, playdough, letter tracing, drawing within lines

How We Teach

Groups of three to four children. Every child gets direct attention — we see when someone needs help with pencil grip, when another is ready to count past 20, when a child needs encouragement to join in.

The learning feels like play because it is — structured, purposeful play with clear developmental goals.

What Makes This Different

We target skills deliberately with structured observations, individualized pacing, and regular parent updates. You get specific feedback: "Sofia recognizes all uppercase letters and is sounding out C-A-T. Next: lowercase letters and blending." Real information, not vague reassurance.

Growing with Your Child

Our curriculum adapts to each developmental stage. Here's what children typically work on at each age — always moving at their own pace.
